Boca Juniors Negotiates Early Transfer of Paredes

The Argentine club Boca Juniors has been in negotiations with Roma regarding a possible early departure of midfielder Leandro Paredes, a native of La Matanza. Boca Juniors offered two million dollars to the European team for the loan of the world champion. According to a source linked to the Argentine player, the Argentine club sent a financial proposal to Paredes, although confirmation is still pending from the Italian team, which is awaiting this financial compensation to finalize the early departure.

In this negotiation, an obstacle arose due to the attitude of Roma's new coach, Claudio Ranieri. So far, Paredes has not responded to Boca Juniors' offer; however, a source close to the player's circle indicated that he would agree to return to the club that gave him the opportunity to debut in the Argentine football first division. The possible confirmation of Paredes could pave the way for his arrival at the team in the blue and yellow shirt, which has as one of its objectives the signing of Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani.

If Paredes' return materializes, it has been established that the player would keep the same shirt number, five, as part of the agreement with the Buenos Aires club. Unlike former Croatian coach Ivan Juric, who considered Paredes a key piece in his scheme, Boca Juniors will not be able to influence the midfielder's playing minutes once his return is finalized. During meetings with Paredes' representative, Boca Juniors made it clear that the player would become the highest-paid athlete within the squad if an agreement is reached.
